DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police are investigating a crash that killed one person on New Year's Day.The Denver Police Department tweeted about the crash at 5:38 a.m. Monday. A Dodge Caravan and an Acura collided in the area of East 53rd Avenue and North Chambers Road near the Parkfield Lake Park in between the Montebello and Gateway-Green Valley Ranch neighborhoods. 20-year-old woman dies after possible stabbing in Federal Heights DPD confirmed to FOX31 that the person in the Acura died. The identity of the deceased will be released at a later time.The driver of the Dodge fled on foot and has not been located.Police have not said what factors may have led to the crash.Drivers should expect delays in the area while police continue to investigate.Due to the holiday, law enforcement agencies across the state were beefing up their presence to keep everyone safe. COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KXRM) — Kimberlee Singler, formerly Kimberlee Wentz, the mother accused of murdering her two children was arrested in the United Kingdom on Saturday. DENVER (KDVR) — Denver Health is celebrating the first baby to be born in the new year.Shortly after midnight at 12:40 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2024, Juan Carlos Felix Nuñez was brought into the world. The newborn was the first baby to be born at Denver Health in 2024.Juan Carlos was born healthy, weighing 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring in at 20 inches long. He will be heading home with his parents Juan Carlos Felix and Eileen Nuñez Lopez. New Hampshire state police are investigating a violent rollover crash on Interstate 93 south in New Hampton on Sunday that resulted in five people being rushed to area hospitals, three of whom were suffering from life-threatening injuries, officials said.Troopers responding to a reported crash around 4:45 p.m. determined a single vehicle was involved in the crash and that three of the five occupants had been ejected, according to state police.All of the occupants were taken to hospitals. Police say a man was shot and killed at a New Year’s gathering in the Hamline-Midway neighborhood of St. Paul early Monday.Shortly after 1:30 a.m. a 911 caller said they “wanted a group of people removed” from a gathering at a home in the 1600 block of Van Buren Avenue, according to a press release from the police department. While officers were on their way, more 911 calls came in saying that shots were fired at the gathering. One caller said they were with someone who had been injured and were taking them to the hospital. That caller then hung up.Officers who arrived at the home didn’t find any victims, but they then were told a man with gunshot wounds was at United Hospital. That man died at the hospital shortly after.Homicide detectives secured the home and began looking for witnesses to determine what led to the shooting and who the shooter was.
