ST. LOUIS - A man was murdered overnight in a Berkeley strip mall parking lot. Tuesday morning, the Major Case Squad has been called in on the case.The head of The Major Case Squad for this investigation told FOX 2that the victim was an adult male who was shot and killed on Frost Avenue just off North Hanley Road and not far from I-170.That man pronounced dead at the scene here earlier. His body was taken away a short time ago. Investigators have been looking at the car on scene that has several bullet holes in it and has some connection to the case. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A judge sentenced Johnny Johnson to death back in 2005. Wednesday will mark 21 years since he killed 6-year-old Casey Williamson in Valley Park. Her killer is scheduled to be executed a week from Tuesday.However, Missourians to abolish the death penalty plan to protest Tuesday at the State Capitol. They say Johnson's case highlights the troubling flaws in the justice system's treatment of people with mental illness. They also explained that Johnson struggled with developmental disabilities and severe mental illness all his life - but never received treatment despite trying to get it. WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. - There are reports of a possible shooting at a MetroLink station in Washington Park, Illinois Tuesday.Our Bommarito Automotive Group SkyFOX helicopter was flying over the area, where medical staff could be seen chest compressions to a person before they were taken away in an ambulance. Metro public safety officials and several emergency crews are still at the scene. Police responded to 'Adam's Smokehouse' in the Clifton Heights neighborhood of south St. Louis a little before 3:30 a.m. The criminals smashed the front door to get in.
