LOS GATOS, Calif. (KRON) -- A family is suing a Los Gatos nursing home after their loved one died a month after allegedly being served a contaminated sandwich.Richard Truong, 71, lived at Vasona Creek Healthcare Center back in December 2021. He fell ill after eating a sandwich that his family claims was contaminated.According to this lawsuit filed in Santa Clara County Superior Court, Troung showed symptoms of gastrointestinal problems for a day and then suffered seizures. The lawsuit also alleges Truong’s daughter witnessed her father vomiting and experiencing severe seizures with bodily convulsions. CONCORD, Calif. (KRON) -- Controversy continues over a proposed mascot change at an East Bay school. Concord High School is considering retiring its Minutemen Moniker mascot, but some families want to keep it. The group that attended the school district meeting Wednesday night were firm and passionate in their stance that the mascot should stay.They said the name means something historically and the amount of money it would take to change it is wasteful.Parents, students and alumni filled the Mount Diablo Unified School board meeting to fight for the Minutemen that they say once fought for them. Jewl Rayford was last seen around 2:30 p.m. at Presidio Middle School on 30th Avenue. Union City girl reported missing, last seen Tuesday Jewl is described to be 4-foot-7, 120 pounds with black hair with braids, brown eyes and wears braces.
