ARLINGTON — Aaron Judge could get time off during the Yankees’ four-game set against the Texas Rangers, but not because of the right hand he banged up Wednesday afternoon, manager Aaron Boone said.Judge was in the Yankees lineup for Thursday’s series opener in Arlington — his first game there since he slugged his record-setting 62nd home run of the 2022 season last October.“I considered giving him a day today, and I might in this series, but no, after talking through it with him and the trainers, and then once he was all right today, no, I feel good about it,” Boone said before Thursday’s game.Judge rolled up on the hand during a slide into third base in Wednesday’s 12-6 win over the Minnesota Twins. He briefly disappeared into the clubhouse after the play and was seen flexing the hand in the dugout, but he remained in the game and later recorded a hit.Asked about the status of his hand before Thursday’s game, Judge replied, R...Sounds fishy

SAN DIEGO -- A judge has decided to unseal records in a civil case involving a teenager claiming she was raped by former San Diego State University punter and former Buffalo Bill's pick Matt Araiza during an off-campus house party in October 2021. “I'm not the police chief, I don't know what they're going to say, but as far as I'm concerned, in this court, I have unsealed it with a protective order," Judge Jeffrey Fraser said. “We’re happy, we recognize that it’s a first step, we appreciate the judge’s thoughtful consideration of our motion to unseal these records, we believe these records are the best evidence," Kristen Bush, one of Matt Araiza's attorneys said. "This is an initial issue, it’s an initial hurdle to us accessing key evidence in this case, and Matt’s life has been destroyed by the false allegations that have been inserted by the plaintiff in this lawsuit." MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Former President Donald Trump turned his attention to the general election on Thursday, using his first campaign appearance since President Joe Biden launched his own reelection bid to boast of his poll numbers and suggest that he has no need to debate his Republican rivals.Trump’s appearance in New Hampshire marked his first return to an early voting state since his legal troubles increased with an indictment in New York. He spoke on the same day that his former vice president, Mike Pence, testified before a federal grand jury investigating efforts by Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election. Meanwhile, writer E. Jean Carroll testified for a second day Thursday in a civil rape case against Trump over an encounter in the 1990s, an allegation he denies. “We are a nation in serious decline, a nation that has lost its way,” Trump said at a downtown Manchester hotel, a smaller venue than his typical, large-scale rallies. “We are led by a hopeless person...REVIEW: Are You There God? There’s lot of movies made for boys. The coming-of-age genre is filled with hundreds of examples, like Dune, the Perks of Being a Wallflower, or Harry Potter. SAO PAULO (AP) — Telegram’s CEO said Thursday that the social media company will appeal a Brazilian judge’s decision to block access to its platform in Brazil for failing to hand over data on neo-Nazi activity. NEW YORK (AP) — In a packed New York courtroom, Ed Sheeran picked up his guitar Thursday and launched into a tune that has him locked in a copyright dispute over Marvin Gaye’s soul classic “Let’s Get it On” as the only audience that mattered — a jury — looked on.Sheeran was an hour into testimony in Manhattan federal court when his lawyer, Ilene Farkas, pressed him to tell how he came to write “Thinking Out Loud” a decade ago.He reached back, grabbed his guitar from a rack behind the witness stand and explained that writing a song was second nature to him. He said he used his own version of phonetics to create songs so quickly that he could write up to nine in a day. Even last weekend, Sheeran claimed, he wrote 10 songs. Then he sang just a few words of the pivotal tune, bringing smiles to the faces of some of the spectators in the courtroom of Judge Louis L. Stanton.“I’m singing out loud,” he sang, loud enough to be heard but not raising decibels in the court...Latest news
