71-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Mile Marker 877ORANGE COUNTY, TX (September 6, 2023) – Wednesday morning, Howard Lewis Allen was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 10.The incident happened around 4:40 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near mile marker 877 on August 30th.Per reports, the driver of an eastbound 2018 Toyota Rav4 struck a pedestrian who was crossing the highway.Shortly after, the driver of an 18-wheeler semi-truck also struck the pedestrian. 2 Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Collision on Main StreetBROWNSVILLE, TX (September 4, 2023) – Sunday morning, Anuar Jobi and Astulfo Cantu Jr., were killed in a wrong-way crash on Expressway 83.Police responded to the scene around 3:20 a.m., on the eastbound lane of Expressway 83, near the Main Street overpass.According to reports, the driver of a wrong-way vehicle struck a white Toyota SUV, occupied by Saint Joseph students.Medics arrived and pronounced the rear driver’s side passenger dead at the scene. OAKLEY — A man was fatally shot and a woman critically injured Tuesday in Oakley following an apparent domestic dispute, police said.Police were called to the 1700 block of Pecan Court around 4:50 p.m. Tuesday for a welfare check on a woman who didn’t show up at work.
