ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — Three Arapahoe County school districts will be getting two new additions to their staff this spring.According to Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, therapy dogs help reduce stress and aid those experiencing anxiety and depression. The therapy dogs will also visit students with special needs. Otis, an eight-week-old black Lab, and Bear, an eight-week-old chocolate Lab will be taking roles as therapy dogs, partnered with two school resource officers.Otis will be partnered with SRO Deputy Drew Matthews, spending time between two K-12 schools in Byers and Deer Trail school districts. Deputy Mathews himself is a graduate of Byers Senior High School. Otis will be servicing Byers and Deer Trail school districts. DENVER (KDVR) — Denver's weather will stay sunny, warmer and breezy on Tuesday. This will increase fire concerns ahead of the next chance for rain and snow showers. Weather tonight: Mild temperatures and increasing breezeMore clouds will build in tonight and help to cap low temperatures in the 40s. The breeze will pick up out of the south with gusts reaching 20 mph by Tuesday morning. Weather tomorrow: Increased fire danger with dry, warmer and breezy conditions Red flag warnings and fire weather watches are set to go into effect Tuesday afternoon and evening. Police are investigating a shooting in Miami Gardens that left a man seriously injured.The shooting happened just before 4 p.m., Monday, and Miami Gardens Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the scene in the area of Northwest 32nd Avenue and 183rd Street, near a Chevron gas station.The victim was airlifted with traumatic injuries.According to a person who answered the phone at the Chevron, the incident happened on the corner and involved a fight between two men.The person at the gas station said it is still open and they have gas. It might seem like you’re looking at a panel of young attorneys when in fact they are 14-year-old middle school students on the law team. They are practicing for a big national competition.Nova Middle School’s mock trial team held their last practice before going to Washington D.C. on Tuesday for the Student Trial Competition.In front of an audience of parents, teachers coached them through the process.They are grilled on the Constitution, the federal budget and the people’s rights. They must present solid facts and opinions.These students already won the State Championship, raising over $20,000 to go to the national championship.They are challenged on opinions, then comes the feedback.Students on the law team are hoping for a national win.“I wanna win. The European Union’s ambassador to Sudan was assaulted “in his own residency” Monday, according to the bloc’s top diplomat Josep Borrell, amid a violent power struggle between rival military factions.“This constitues a gross violation of the Vienna Convention [sic]. Security of diplomatic premises and staff is a primary responsibility of Sudanese authorities and an obligation under international law,” Borrell said on Twitter. A suspect will face charges after three people were injured in a home invasion in Quincy Sunday night, according to police.7NEWS later spoke with a victim who asked that his name and face not be shown and who described the moment he said a gunman barged into the house. “We don’t know who he was,” the man said. “This was completely random. It’s terrifying.”Officers responded to 400 Block of Granite Street just after 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports that gunshots were fired and multiple people were stabbed.Upon arrival, police said officers located four people, three of whom were suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds. WHITE MARSH, Maryland (WBAL) — A college baseball team from Boston took a detour in Baltimore County Sunday after their bus caught fire.The team from Fisher College was on their way home from a tournament when the bus they were traveling on caught fire. Everyone was able to get out safely, but it clearly made them change plans for the day.After putting the fire out, the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company invited the team to go back to the station with them and wait for a new bus.“We’re lucky the driver did a great job, got us to a safe place to stop and (finding) a safe place to get off the bus.
