(KRON) -- Public transit agencies are not recovering fast enough from the pandemic, and if the state doesn’t step in, irreversible service cuts will soon become the normal across California.“Right now, we have an emergency where in the next 12 to 24 months we’re going to see massive debilitating cuts by transit agencies that are going to be potentially impossible to reverse,” said California State Senator Scott Wiener.Weiner said the funding issue facing public transit agencies across the state is not about whether trains and buses will run on time, but whether they will run at all. WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal appeals court on Wednesday night moved former Vice President Mike Pence closer to appearing before a grand jury investigating efforts to undo the results of the 2020 presidential election, rejecting a bid by former President Donald Trump’s lawyers to block the testimony. It was not immediately clear what day Pence might appear before the grand jury, which for months has been investigating the events preceding the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and efforts by Trump and his allies to subvert the election outcome. But Pence’s testimony, coming as he moves closer to entering the 2024 presidential race, would be a milestone moment in the investigation and would likely give prosecutors a key first-person account as they press forward with their inquiry. The order from the three-judge panel of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals was sealed and none of the parties are mentioned by name in online court records.

He was hitting .353 through April 10 but his average has dropped to .274 with three doubles, two home runs and 11 RBIs. Marmol also said it would be “crazy” to think that Walker wouldn’t be returning to the big league club.“There is a need for some of these guys to go out there more often and get into a little bit of rhythm, and they just haven’t been able to do that because we do have five guys that are all deserving of playing every day,” Marmol said, pointing to Ale...Rain 'up to the horses' knees': Tuesday storm leaves muddy mess

"That's the most rain we've had in several years all at once like that."Just down the road, parts of County Road 61 were washed away as drivers carefully navigated a 2-foot drop on one side of the road.Pfersch said her rain gauges measured between 3 and 4 inches of rain."We need the moisture, so you have to put up with some water, muddy puddles and muddy roads," she said.Latest news
