A woman was arrested following a multi-county pursuit on Tuesday night.The suspect was initially pulled over in San Juan Capistrano for a welfare check before speeding off on the 5 Freeway and continuing into L.A. County, according to California Highway Patrol.The compact SUV, which was hit with a spike strip earlier, refused to stop and continued driving on the highway as the tires began deteriorating.Authorities said the driver was speaking on the phone throughout the pursuit.Both front tires eventually peeled off as the suspect continued traveling on rims. At one point, a patrol vehicle successfully pit-maneuvered the suspect, bringing the chase to an end.Initially refusing the exit her vehicle, pepper bombs were deployed as officers approached the car carefully. Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were in pursuit of two suspects in a stolen vehicle who reportedly rammed one deputy's vehicle and attempted to hit another. The suspect vehicle, a white sedan, could be seen speeding down lower Azusa Road, near, Cogswell Road, in El Monte when Sky5 caught up to the chase. The pursuit suspect weaved in and out of traffic, driving at times on the wrong side of the road on Los Angeles Street in Baldwin Park. As the driver made a left turn onto La Rica Avenue, the vehicle's front bumper came off the car. As the driver wound around to Edra Avenue and came to a dead end, both suspects jumped out of the vehicle and began running through residential properties, climbing over fences back toward Los Angeles Street. A $10,000 reward is being offered Tuesday for information on the murder of a 12-year-old boy in Long Beach.On May 9, Eric Gregory Brown was walking on the sidewalk with friends near the 2200 block of Lewis Avenue around 11:32 p.m.A vehicle with at least two male suspects inside pulled up near Brown and opened fire, striking the boy, according to Long Beach Police.Brown, along with a 14-year-old female who was also shot, were transported to a local hospital.Brown later died at the hospital from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The 14-year-old girl sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body and a 13-year-old female at the scene remained uninjured, police said.Details remain limited as the suspects remain at large. Officials hope the $10,000 reward leading to an arrest and conviction offered by L.A.
